The Ultimate AR-15 Barrel

We went all out to make our ideal barrel for the AR-15.  After years of experimenting we settled on these features to fulfill our preferences:

• Rifle length gas system for the best reliability, accuracy, and low recoil.  Nothing beats how a rifle length gas system shoots.  There have been some 16″ rifle gas barrels but we felt that the dwell distance was just too short.  The extra .69″ delivers approximately 25% more dwell distance vs 16″ making it dead reliable with a wide range of ammo, conditions, and carrier/buffer weights.
• Heavy profile with aggressive fluting.  Maintains the accuracy and rigidity of a heavy barrel with reduced weight and increased surface area for cooling.  Flutes start after the chamber area to leave as much material as possible there.
• .223 Wylde Chamber.   Commonly accepted to be the best of both worlds for accuracy and the ability to fire 5.56mm ammunition.
• 1 in 8 twist rate to stabilize a wide range of bullet weights.
• Chrome lined to vastly increase service life under heavy use. Expect it to last twice the round count as a stainless steel match barrel.
• Hand lapped to maintain precision accuracy.  In general, chrome lining is known for fantastic durability but not the best accuracy, this maintains match grade accuracy.
• Headspaced BCM bolt included with each barrel.  Barrels will work with any AR15/M16 bolt but these are matched to each particular barrel for extra accuracy.
• Sub Minute of Angle accuracy with match grade ammunition.
• Extra velocity. The chrome lining, lapping, long gas system, and chamber/twist rate all contribute to slight velocity increases. Users commonly report velocities comparable with 18-20″ barrels.
• .750″ Gas block journal.
• 31.5oz weight.
• 1/2″x28 muzzle threads.
• Highly recommended to use with an adjustable gas block. The gas port is sized to run any ammunition and carrier/buffer weight combo.
